In general lighting supplies are limited to 5 amp because ceiling roses are rated 5 amp and act as junction boxes and there is no cable rated less than 5 amp so in the main you can take radials or spurs of lighting circuits the only real limitation is volt drop and loop impedance and you would need a lot of cable to have problems with that.
