Here is a diagram of what I propose to do, any help is greatly appreciated. What you describe is a spur. If you need this socket on the ring, then 2 junction boxes are needed to extend both cables. Or you could use a double pattress and blanking plate with 2 sets of 30A choc-block which would be neater.
